Mushin Earth is a public-information publishing project from Mushin Code. It uses the Terremoto, Incendio, and Erupción services to publish information about earthquakes, wildfires, and volcanic activity to social profiles controlled by Mushin Code. This policy describes the information handled by the Mushin Earth Publisher integration and these policy pages.
Information we handle
Meta account authorization data
When an authorized profile connects Mushin Earth Publisher, Meta may provide:
- A platform-scoped profile identifier, profile name, username, and profile type.
- Access tokens and authorization details needed to publish approved content.
- The permissions granted to the integration and their expiration information.
Publication records
We may keep the source event identifier, generated post text, media URL, platform post identifier, publication time, delivery status, and technical error details. These records prevent duplicate posts, support retries, and help us investigate publishing failures.
Website information
These pages use the same website analytics as the Terremoto site. Google Analytics may process page views, interactions, browser and device details, and approximate location derived from an IP address. Website analytics are not connected to an authorized social profile or its publishing records.
Information we do not request
Mushin Earth Publisher does not need or request:
- Direct messages, private conversations, contacts, or follower lists.
- Precise device location or location history.
- Advertising identifiers or information for targeted advertising.
- The passwords for an Instagram or Threads account.
How information is used
We use authorization data and publication records only to:
- Publish event information to the social profiles that authorized the integration.
- Refresh authorization before it expires and maintain the connection.
- Prevent duplicate publication, retry temporary failures, and monitor reliability.
- Protect the service and comply with legal or platform requirements.
We do not sell this information, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles of readers or followers.
Sources and public posts
Mushin Earth processes event information from publicly available scientific, government, and emergency-information sources used by Terremoto, Incendio, and Erupción. Posts made to Instagram or Threads are public and are handled by Meta under Meta's own terms and privacy policies.
Storage, sharing, and retention
Publishing credentials are stored as server secrets and are available only to the service components that need them. We may use infrastructure providers to host the service and may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service, or to investigate abuse. We do not share authorization data with advertisers or data brokers.
We retain active authorization data while it is needed to operate the authorized publishing connection. Publication and security records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for duplicate prevention, reliability, security, and legal obligations.
Your choices and deletion
The profile owner can revoke Mushin Earth Publisher from Meta's Apps and websites or Website permissions settings. Revocation prevents further API access. Instructions for requesting deletion of remaining publisher records are available on our Data Deletion page.
Children's privacy
Mushin Earth Publisher is an operator tool for profiles controlled by Mushin Code and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this integration.
